Balthiali
The area surrounding the Balthali Retreat is thickly forested 
with luxuriant growth of various floras, colorful rhododendron, magnolia and sal trees cover the hill that undulates and opens out to terrace fields. After dusk a myriad of flickering lights below the valley of Balthali Village resort comes alive. Nature lovers and bird watchers can spend days exploring and discovering some exceptional species of wildlife, tradition and culture untouched by modernity. There are a number of excellent short and long hikes from a day to 5 days within Balthali Village Resort and its surrounding gives you ample opportunity and time to explore this quaint natural heaven.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu
Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley
Day 03: Kathmandu-Balthali One hour drive from Kathmandu to Khopasi via historical town/ small city Panauti
Day04: Village Excursion around Balthali A village walk down to Ladku Khola where you have an opportunity to see the seasonal fishing activities of the villagers and then back to Resrot via Lukuwa danda (1850m)
Day05: Excursion -Balthali Excursion to the junction of two rivers Rossi, Ladku Khola and typical Tamang village which makes you test the real life style of Nepalese people.
Day 06:Balthali This day you will visit a typical Tamang Village Dada gaun(2100m.) where the Buddhist folks have been living. Back to Balthali Village Resrot. It takes about five hours.
Day 07: Balthali This morning your tour starts through the terrace fields and you will reach Buddhist stupa, Namo Buddha, one of the most holy site for the Buddhists. It is believed that the ancient Buddha was born here as a Prince. Then continue tour to Dhulikhel O/N at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort
Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu On the way visit of Historical City of Bhaktapur.
Day 09: Free days in Kathmandu.
