Chovar Gorge

Through which water of primeval lake was drained by Manjushree, the budhist monk, who created the valley of Kathmandu for human settlement, is 20 km away to the south of Kathmandu. This place is famed for its Ganesh (elephant headed God) shrine & suspension bridge dating back to 1909, over the deep gorge.
